? Myth vs. Truth ?

One of the most common misconceptions about real estate agents is that they only show listings that are from their own brokerage.

Nope. This myth is simply not true.

Real estate agents, are licensed professionals who are committed to providing their clients with the best possible
service, regardless of which brokerage a listing may be from.

As a realtor, I have access to multiple listing services (MLS) that allows me to access all active listings for sale in the area regardless of brokerage, and also to share my own listings with other agents across brokerages.

I have a legal and ethical obligation to disclose all available properties that may be suitable for my clients, whether the property is listed by my own brokerage or another brokerage.

The truth is that most real estate agents work independently and have no financial interest in promoting one brokerage over another.

They are solely focused on providing their clients with the best possible service and finding the right property for
their needs. When a client is looking for a home, a good realtor will take the time to understand their preferences and priorities, and then show them a variety of properties
that match their criteria.

Moreover, some realtors work in teams , they may have multiple listings but they are not bound to just show their own listings. They are committed to showing their clients
the best options available and work on their best interest.

Bottom line, It is always important to work with a real estate agent you trust, who is dedicated to providing you with the best possible service, whether you’re buying or selling a home. They will always be your advocate and guide throughout the process, and you can rest assured that they will show you all the listings that match your
criteria, regardless of which brokerage they
are from.
